My name is Brittany.
I taught in Louisiana for 6 years before deciding to go for my Alaskan dreams.
I told my parents that I intended to teach here about 3-4 years before I actually started the process. They, of course, thought I was kidding! I spent time reading blogs of Alaska teachers, searching through the job database, and gathering information about where I wanted to potentially end up. This blog is meant to serve a dual purpose. First, I hope my friends and family can keep up with my adventures and that I can one day look back on my memories. Second, I hope other teachers thinking about making the move get a good idea of what is ahead of them.
